PARTNERS

Our partners form an integral safety net for our foster kids and resource families.
MFCA is in constant contact with each of them to ensure we remain aware of policy changes, new laws, advocacy efforts, and situations that need our attention

AdvoKids

AdvoKids protects the right of every foster child in California to safety, security, and a permanent home. They provide regular trainings for our resource families, and their Executive Director, Margaret Coyne, participates in our annual Legal Panel.

Children and Family Services

MFCA is proud of our strong partnership with CFS. We work closely with social workers to ensure our programs are aligned with regulations, and meet quarterly with CFS’s director and program managers. Leslie Fields and Joe Devine, both from CFS, sit on our Advisory Board.

COM offers training through the Foster and Kinship Care Education (FKCE) Program. FKCE works with MFCA to provide caregiver education on relevant topics. FKCE’s Program Manager, Patty Cala, is a member of our Advisory Board.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

CASAs are well trained, court-appointed volunteers responsible for making recommendations to the court for the safety, permanence and well-being of foster children. CASA’s Executive Director, Laurie Good, participates in our annual Legal Panel.

Make it Home

Our newest partner, Make It Home, helps families and individuals transitioning out of crisis or homelessness. Make it Home’s creator, Carolyn Flannery, sits on MFCA’s Board of Directors.

Seneca

Seneca provides wrap-around services to marin’s foster children, and partners with MFCA on our annual picnic and holiday party.

TLC collaborates with MFCA to ensure foster and adoptive families in Marin have a sense of belonging and community. Liz Jimenez, a key member of TLC’s staff, sits on our Advisory Board.

Wasacz, Hilley & Fullerton

Minor’s Council are highly valued members of our support team, and Mark Wasacz participates in our annual Legal Panel. All foster families should be in regular contact with their foster child’s lawyer. For contact information, please email Ashley at ashley@marinfostercare.org.
